Public Note:
Collected a solitary specimen from a piece of wood some distance to 10273. Looks same but bigger and with paler stem - stem to 6cm, cap to 2cm. Black spores, white gill edge. Not so mottled. Cap a hymeniderm over a cutis, with occasional dermatocystidia. Caulocystidia of agglutinated fascicles of cells. 4-spored, spores dark brown by transmission - coprinoid. Cheilocystidia cylindrical Spores 15x9 with broad germ pore 1.5um. Immature spores are pale. Gills not free. No Chrysocystidia. Spores not loosing colour in conc. sulphuric acid. Spores different to 10273. Close to P. subalteatus - but again on wood?
