Public Note:
gills bright yellow, taste bitter, cap darkening markedly with KOH, with cortina. Same as JAC8881. Not H. fasciculare with this scaly stem, and this has brighter colours and pale yellow at stem apex, not sulphur yellow. Not. H. australe. Dries dark brown. Pleurocystidia as chrysocystidia. Spores 7x4, thick-walled, with germ pore. Gen says not H. frowardii.
