Public Note:
Spores 11 x 6um 3-septate thin-walled, germinating by globose conidia, clamp connections absent. Keys conclusivley to D. lacrymalis from McNabb. If has point attachment then possibly capitatus. Looks like collection 10261. There are some pics of D. capitatus on the web that look like this but D. capitatus is described by having pale tomentum at point of attachment. D. lacrymalis and capitatus resolve closely but separately in work of Shirouzu, Mycoscience 2007, 48:388 [JAC:19/08/2022] sequence of this says D. subantarcensis. 10261 is confirmed as D. lacrymalis.
