Specimen notes
Public Note:
Cap to 5mm. Fruitbody gelatinous but no edge to gill. Clamped. 4-spored. Cap with coralloid hyphae and crystals. Gill edge with large crystals and smaller coraloid cystidia. Spores inamyloid, spherical 5um. Oily droplets in melzer's mount. This is close to R. trichotis but has distinct crystals. BFF6 mentions the coralloid cheilocystidia not figured in B&K. BFF6 does not mention coralloid elements in cap. This superficially like Marasmiellus violaceogrisea but that with distinct coralloid hairs on cap and cylindrical spores. See also Thorn Mycotaxon 25.. Material to Greg Thorn. Sequenced by McDonald = R. novaezelandiae sp. nov.
