Specimen notes
Public Note:
When dry has strong smell of sweaty socks. Some cap cells spherical but quite gelatinised so not easy to tell (altho cap dry and not glutinous). Cutcicle dark red with KOH. This same as 8991. Spores 11 x 7. Cheilocystidia not articulate. Ring striate and high. Not Rozites and not majestatica but close. D. gunni closer but seems to be a more slender species but will place here. MT's painting of gunni isn't so slender.
