Public Note:
Singly and twos or threes; pileus: to 6.5 cm diam. sticky surface, shining, drying dull fibrillose. Convex umbonate to flatter or even depressed around umbo in age but margin always turned down. Darker in centre - greenish and paling towards margin, radially fibrillose. Often speckled with yellow ochre or with spots of ochre replacing the green towards the centre in age. Flesh white under pellicle; stipe: 9 mm x 7 cm generally tapered upwards, thicker or more usually bulbous at base with white tomentum and rhizomorphs holding a clump of litter. Surface sticky when young. Pale blueish striate near gills, paling and greening downwards to yellow or orange ochre tints near base. Flesh white, tenuous in centre, greenish near surface above, yellow tinted near surface below. Superior arachnoid veil trace; gills: sinuate, sts. with decurrent tooth trace, fairly crowded, pale orange-brown with white serrate margin, long and short; spores print orange brown.
