Public Note:
At foot of N. truncata; Beech - Rimu - Totara - Kanuka; Single, Height 8.5cm; pileus: not fully mature, 5.3 cm diam. hemispheric, margin exceeding gills and tightly curled under. Yellow- or orange-brown, dry, surface cracked and minutely scaly. Network or areolate pattern in centre, furry fibrils or fibrillar scales towards margin. Flesh whitish, tinged pink-fawn esp. near the skin. Grey layer at base of gills; stipe: 1.7 cm at gills, tapered upwards, thick and heavy at base, fawn striate with upward pointing loose fibrillar scales of a darker brown colour. Larger and sparser above, becoming smaller and more crowded below. Basal white tomentum, tanged with the substratum. Flesh white, solid. Stipe with some longitudinal cracks; gills: adnexed, fawn with pale or white near margin, long and short, wavy margin, deep; Compare PDD 86348, PDD 86349
