Singly and clumps; height: up to 7 cm; pileus: max 3.5 cm diam. - an unusually squat specimen (1st drawing), planoconvex to almost flat, pale pinkish apricot, darker in the centre, striate and grooved, margin crenulate, flesh whitish, very thin; stipe: 3 mm diam., hollow, fibrous, twisted, surface faintly striate, some specimens with slightly flattened and grooved stipe, colour of surface and flesh similar. Orange fawn above, to red, then dark brown near the base. Surface fawn fur and whiskers at base, copious white rhizomorphs in litter; gills: adnexed, whitish or pale creamy, deep, long and short, not very crowded; spores:print white; 2 specimens with proliferation at the centre of the cap
