Specimen notes
Public Note:
also on Pseudopanax. Seems to produce 'chlamydospores' in culture. This could be Wang & Sutton's Diplococcium hughesii! Some of the conidiogenous cells look 'phialide-like', i.e. close to Zanclospora - and that has been noted in literature for Selenosporella (including MacGarvie's type). ICMP 25/10/05. Conidia lunate 6 x 1.5 and tapering to both ends. Apex of conidiophore fertile. Decided close enough to verticillata. New to NZ. Reported to MAF 2/07/2010.
