Public Note:
orange. With hot after taste. Spores globose, collapsing 7um diam. Although spores are smaller than McNabb's description. Stem central and spines not decuurent. Loaned to Kunming March 2011. Var. crocidens supposed to be with tea-tree. Suspect ornage staining one with nothofagus, and non-staining with tea-tree, different species. H. crocidens is from Port Phillip, Australia, and unlikely to be the same as the New Zealand taxa.
