Public Note:
with dark lower stem in wet moss. Spores sub-spherical 8-10um with distinct apiculus, very finely spinulose with spines less that 0.25um. Basal hyphae white. The description doesn't fit anything described by McNabb. Gills pink rather than violet. Mueller comes to proximella known from Chile and Argentina but that with violacous tomentum. Next nearest is proxima but NZ descriptions still seem confused. Given to Greg Mueller
