Specimen notes
Public Note:
Inner surface of endoperidium going reddish, peristome fimbriate, delineated, endoperidium not stalked, not hygroscopic, not encrusting soil with mycelium. Spores 8.1-10.1(9) SD0.6 n=12 diam. dark brown. Keys to floriforme but looks more like fimbriatum. The spores clearly differentiate this from 10573. Capilitial threads encrusted. Note that for Pegler et al rufescens is stalked. For Pegler = floriforme except spores here much bigger. For coker floriforme. For cunningham australe. The size of these spores must place this nearest to G. australe. Within the Kentaro assembly of species that all got identified as G. triplex. Endoperdium with short setate.
