Public Note:
Dodge & Zeller 1934 cite the holotype as New Zealand, South Island, Nelson, Dun Mountain, J. C. Neill, type (com. O. H. Cunningham 1096, all Dodge and Zeller), NY.
However, Beaton et al. cite 1984: Wellington, Chateau Tangariro, April 1931, J . Carter (type of G. novaezelandiae, K(m). However this specimen in PDD marked as the holotype. It seems likley that neither the Kew specimen (if it exists) or this specimen ar the true holotype.
