[Horak] NZ, SI, BR, Springs Junction, trail to Lake Daniells, 730 m, on soil under N. fusca, 14 April 2005, E. & A.Horak 12082 (ZT, PDD 82775). P. 10-20(-30) mm, already young expanded and depressed in centre, old concave, non-striate margin weakly incurved, becoming scalopped, liver brown, smooth, non-zonate, dry. - L. 32-46 reaching stipe, 7-15 lamellulae, broadly adnate (rarely subdecurrent), entire edges concolorous. - St. 15-30 x 3-5 mm, cylindrical, equal or attenuated towards base, concolorous with pileus, dry, hollow, solitary and cespitose. - Context brittle, paler concolorous. - Latex milky-watery, unchanging upon exposure. - Odour not distinctive. - Taste mild to slightly bitter [Leonard] Another brown variant [Cooper] reticulate spores, non strangulate cystidia.
