Specimen notes
Public Note:
cuticle a cutis, mixed, surface layer gelatinized, with dermatocystidia (oleiiferus?), hyphae clamped, crystals abundant. No tissue amyloid/dextrinoid. No cheilo/pleurocystidia. Spores warty (rather than wrinkled), slightly angular in cross-section (Largent & Baroni's split between Lepista/Rhodocybe - smooth/angular). 5-6 x 3-4um, obviously cyanophilous. A Lepista. Stem slightly eccentric. Gills pinkish. Smell weakly spermatic (but not Lepista perfume-like). Gills crowded, entire. Whole fruitbody pinkish grey but not lilac. Cap inrolled at edge and paler, all felty. FAN3 & NM would sugest affinity with L. panaeolus but that much more compact and with 'water drop stains' on cap. Moser & Singer suggests section Lepista. Spore print cream/pink. Sequence within the L. panaeolus group and identical to some labelled L. irina, however, for Alvarado et al, 2015, that has sequences elsewhere (near collybia sensu stricto) and larger spores. L. muritae and L. antipoda are part of the same complex, perhaps all the same
