Specimen notes
Public Note:
brown, slimy, umbilicate. Mild. Stem greyish. Smell slightly fishy. Gills C. FeSO4 Green CHKLN. Pat and McNabb come to pseudoareolata. But cap doesn't appear to be pseudoareolate? No pilocystidia - checked in SV. Spores length=7.4–8.8µm (µ=8.1, σ=0.4), width=6.8–7.8µm (µ=7.3, σ=0.3), Q=1.0–1.2µm (µ=1.11, σ=0.03), n=20, ornamentation to 1um. Looks like dried fruitbody of pseudareolata and not rimosa. Gill trama shows the isodiamteric cells of rimosa, not pseudareolata, but unfortunately it is not a good distinguishing character.
