Public Note:
Base of stem with bright yellow hyphae. Flesh unchanging. Taste very hot. No change in ammonia. Spores Q=2.75 9x3.5um. No clamps. This is Chalciporus piperatus - but under native trees. Is it beginning to invade - or is this something different? [2014 - must have been with invading A. muscaria]
