Specimen notes
Public Note:
hairs white, encrusted in lower part, terminally elongated into an acute flagellum. Inner receptacle yellow/tan. Hairs joined in convoluted mass at base, hymenium with swollen cells. This would fit with Agerer's Flagelloscypha pseudopanax (=incrustocyphella pseudopanax) rather than Cunningham's Lachnella (flagelloscypha) pseudopanacis. In fact this is closer to Cunningham's Lachnella tongirira in posessing thick-walled hairs! Are there really two such similar species on Pseudopanax?! JAC8855 needs reevaluating.
