Public Note:
cap cells spherical/ellipsoid 40 x 25um, no clamps, spores with germ pore 13.5 x 8.5um not angular and smooth. Cap viscid when small, hygrophanous with sparse hair cystidia (tips yellow in KOH). Gill trama without obvious central section (not typical of sp.). 4-spored. Cheilocystidia a few lecythiform with head to 5.8um diam but most lageniform (swollen base and hir-like extension). Caulocystidia hair-like, bunched but not lecythiform (searched entire length). Stem paler than cap, stem not ro. Watling & taylor to novaezelandiae or sp. 4 but that with nitrous smell and this not. Despite mixed characters here this is c. coprophila. New to NZ. FAN6 places this in Pholiotina. Reported to MAF 2/07/2010
