Specimen notes
Public Note:
Fruitbodies campanulate. Outer surface smooth, brown. Gills white, with lamellulae. Pellicle gelatinous, not separable. Cap hyphae with clamps. Some with 'zebra' encrusting extracellular brown pigment. Spores cylindrical, strongly allantoid, inamyloid, not dextrinoid, 10 x 3.5um. Basidia 4-spored, clavate 25 x 8um. Cystidia tapered with fine nodulose, branched extensions (rostrate). Evidence of crystals in hymenium but metuloids not obvious. This fits in all respects with Hohenbuehelia cyphelliformis.
