Specimen notes
Public Note:
Coil diam. 20-30um. 2-3 coils, 2D. Conidia and conidiophores hyaline. Coils 3-5 septa per turn, constricted. Filament diameter 5-7um. Conidia strongly catenate. Conidiophores micro to macronematous, septate, 7um at base. Segments disarticulating - especially from conidiophore. A few conidia becoming tan with age. Close to H. paradoxum sensu Goos (differs from Linder's in having coils 20-25 rather than 35-60). Differs from tubulosum in less coils, thinner filament etc. Had this originally identified as paradoxum until checked culture details. Colony hyaline in reverse makes this H. triglitziense. (except for conidia tan with age which is a feature of paradoxum!). ITS Near unpublished chinese helico and Ascocoryne.
