Cap 1-3cm diam. hemispherical, silky, cigar brown. Gills vinaceous grey & rusty with spores. Stem 4-6mm x 5cm lavender, equal. Smell oily aromatic, taste indistinct. Spores 8.3 x 6um. Keys to atroviolaceus, Karl says pic looks like chalybaeus. Disagree. Cap is dry. Sequence is close to kamimanwai & rhipiduranus and chalbaeus, but not any
