Specimen notes
Public Note:
species with dark vinaceous gill edge. Cap brown-vinaceous, 6cm diam. with dark brown fibrillose tufts near centre, but otherwise silky. Stem with dark fibrils. Cap hyphae broad filamentous (12.5um), no clamps, no distinct tufts of terminal elements. Pleurocystidia thick-walled 3um to 60x30um. Can't find clamps anywhere. Some with brown granular contents, forked apex. Cheilocystidia with dark brown plasmatic/granular contents. Spores variable in shape thin-walled, 8.5 x 5.8um mainly oblong/cylindrical and some with waist-like constriction. The combination of smoothish cap and lack of clamps but lack of concentric bulges means this doesn't key. Closest to P. similis otherwise.
