Specimen notes
Public Note:
Cap 4-7cm silky umber, hemispherical to umbonate, gills pink, pellicle separable. Stem white 1-1.3 x 10cm thickening towards base. Smell indictinct, taste radishy. Cap cells filamentous, pleurocystidia conical, thick-walled with hooked apex, gill edge not darker. Marginal cystidia sphaeropedunculate. Spores 7.5 x 5um. Keys straight to cervinus except this not on wood and associated with conifers. Despite this I would say cervinus.
