Specimen notes
Public Note:
Basidia 4-spored. Spores 12x7.5, purple-brown, with obvious germ-pore. Cheilocystidia absent. Pleurocystidia vesiculose with acute apex. Chrysocystidia absent. Cap 10 cm yellow flushed pale violaceous pink. Stem 1cm, base bulbous, ring hanging and striate with spores. Stem pale violaceous above ring. Smell of dried material is fishy. Cuticle a cutis. Despite the lack of cystidia I believe this to be S. rugosannaulata.
