Micronematous, yellow/pale brown, branched. Conidia 15-30um long x 12-17um, filament 3um, tightly wound, cylindrical to barrel shaped to conical,clockwise, 6-8 coils. 1-3 septa per turn, not constricted. slide only Keys to H. westerdijkiae. New to New Zealand. ITS genbank blast comes out next to Zalerion varium (marine)! and near to H. tubulosum ICMP14615 (jac8367) but separated by Tricladium splendens. Reported to MAF 2/07/2010. [11-2011] proximity to Grelet root-tip metagenomic EM: AB476502_Hymenoscyphus_Sweden_ex_Vaccinium_spp. 466
