Public Note:
No stipe, laterally attached, pileus hirsute towards attachment, spores strongly amyloid, spherical 4um with spines. Cheilocystidia present. Gill edge serrate, no gelatinous context.
Segedin 1996 and Gates & Ratowsky 2003 both discuss confusion with L. hepatotrichus. Not clear from either of these if true synonymy exists.
