Specimen notes
Public Note:
has ellipsoid spores. Agerer & Cunningham have globose spores. Breitenbach & Kranzlin figures with ellipsoid spores. Peter Buchanan collected in 1987 a specimen (PKB 87/128) that seemed to closely match Cunningham's description of L. fasciculata with the exception that spores were broadly ellipsoid, 6-6.5 x 3.5-4 um. My material is parasitized by a phialidic hypho. Rectipilus/Henningsomyces near Resupinatus according to Thorn et. Note that Euro R. fasciculatus has straight hairs and Cunningham's has toruloid hairs and is close to R. natelensis, confirmed for NZ so perhaps previously misidentified. This taxon is considerably smaller than PDD104663 as R. natalensis, with frbs 0.3 mm long in dried material. spores length=4.9–5.1µm (µ=5.0, σ=0.07), width=3.1–3.5µm (µ=3.3, σ=0.16), Q=1.4–1.6µm (µ=1.52, σ=0.07), n=4. This has torulose hairs with side fingers and spores larger than PDD104663 as R. natalensis. It seems Cunninghams use of R. fasciatus is not sensu Agere and inludes R. natelensis and this.
