Public Note:
Cap 3.5-5cm covered in snuff-brown tomentum, small amount of cracking to reveal clay-buff layer. Pores angular 1mm at centre becoming smaller at perimeter, luteous, emarginate, bluing. Stem relatively thin, 8mm at apex narrowing to 4 at base, concolorous with gills at apex then clay-pink-clay to buff with fine brown tufts under lens. Flesh unchanging. Taste mild to slightly acrid. No clamps. Spores 13.3 x 3.3um.
