conidia to 10um. Holubova-Jechova, Mycotaxon 14 p140 reasonably synonimises Rhinotrichum subalutaceum into Basifimria subalutacea = B. aureum, and notes presence on wood, pyrenomyctes and dung. Not collected since 1963 and no collections in PDD.
