Public Note:
I can find no micro features to distinguish this from C. tristis, which can be either glaucous or not. Consequently there is the possibility this is simply a synonym of C. tristis. However, the subtrate and habitat indicates this might be an introduction. Either way the name should not be applied to material from indigenous localities/substrates without support for differentiation from C. tristis. The dried holotype shows no indication of a fimbriate margin.
