Public Note:
[PRJ] small, sessile, pale yellow disc (narrow layer of darkened cells and hyphae across the base, evident when apothecia removed), consistently associated with small stromatic, slightly sunken patches on fallen leaves; Chalara sp. also consistently associated with tese patches. Excipulum of angular to globose, slightly thick-walled cells, outermost cells narrow, slightly elongated and more or less free; asci amyloid to apex, 8-spored; ascospores about 11-13 x 2-3.5 µm, slightly curved in side view, tapering to both narrow-rounded ends, 1-septate, hyaline.
