Specimen notes
Public Note:
Apothecia brown with brown hairs; when young appear to be not so brown and for the hairs to have brown crystals (i.e. close to other "brown crystals" specimens). Spores match "brown crystals, about 12-16 x 1.5-2 um. Para 3 um, taper to small rounded apex, but not much longer than asci, sublanceolate rather than lanceolate.
P.R. Johnston, Jan 2021
Public Note:
Some ascomata with a circular arrangement to the hymenium (tuft of sterile, hair-like elements in centre of disc) - does this also occur on any of the sequenced specimens?
