Public Note:
Cultures of GJS 74-14 American Type Culture Collection (ATCC): ATCC 36092 and CBS 334.77 (OQ429852). However, DNA from CBS 334.77 matches ex-type strain of Acremonium strictum, suggesting contamination or switching of numbering because morphology of the culture does not match H. erubescens (Hou et al. 2023). The ATCC 36092 LSU sequence matches other putative H. erubescens accessions in GenBank
