Pileus 38-47 mm; lamellae adnexed, close to crowded, lilac when young, fimbriate; stipe 35-55 x 6-9 mm, clavate, covered at base with tufts of yellowish brown fibrils, less fibrillose above, lilac at apex; context brown right under pileipellis, whitish below, lilac at stipe apex, yellowish at stipe base; odour not distinctive, taste mild.
