Specimen notes
Public Note:
University of Canterbury Botany Dept. Myxomycete Collection No. 30
Public Note:
30. As Comatricha sp. Very old and weathered. There are two species present. One is Comatricha typhoides (Bull.) Rost.; the other a Semonitis with reticulate spores, almost certainly S. fusca Roth. I enclose mounts in the box. These were intended to be temporary, but the material is so scanty that I did not want to risk trying to remove the broken cover-slips, so I ringed them as they were. [Slides not with specimen on arrival at PDD from CANU.]
