31-34 mm across. Mustard yellow with darker brown center of disk in age Flesh: Pale creamy yellow with red tinge in stipe base context, especially surface Lamellae: Pink tinged yellow ochre Cortina colour: Crimson red on stipe Stipe: 35-40 x 5 mm, clavate, creamy to bright yellow with strands of crimson/yellow red veil (not sure which), most noticeable as crimson stain on base of stipe, did not seem to be bruising, although became more smudged and constant with handling. KOH 10% deep red on stipe surface and red on cap.
