Pileus 10-28 mm diam, convex becoming plano-convex, brown to tawny brown, dry, with scattered fine scales concolorous or very slightly lighter than pileus. Lamellae yellow- brown. Annulus robust, pale yellow- brown, distinctly striate on upper surface, cottony. Stipe 2-4 mm diam x 25-38 mm long, central, tapering slightly to apex, pale cream.
