Pileus 8-17 mm diam x 4-8 mm high, convex or conical becoming plano-convex, dull mustard brown, dry, with a few scattered fine concolorous scales. Lamellae dull tan brown, free to finely adnate. Annulus obvious, pale cream, distinctly striate on upper surface, smooth lower, cottony. Stipe 3-4 mm diam x 20-50 mm long, central, cylindricalor with bulbouse base, pale creamy yellow, dry, fibrous.
