Public Note:
Cap 40-85 mm. Broadly convex to faintly umbonate, becoming plane. Surface, dry, densely wrinkled, esp. towards margin. Dark brown mottled with tan to cream. Gills rather distant, with decurrent tooth running into dark brown upper stipe area. Stipe 45-85 x 9-18 mm. Surface finely velvety, brownish, whitish mottled from midpoint down to base. Devloping ochre-brown tones. Latex white, somewhat scant, slightly sticky. Flesh solid, whitish. With Nothofagus. Taste mild. UV faintly white on gills.
