Stipe surface with blue tones near base, dusky grayish-blue upwards with white apex.
Cap smooth, opaque, faintly silvery-virgate over dusky blue-gray color. On moss, about 10 cm up the base of a small hardwood tree in mixed broadleaf podocarp forest.
