Cap 10-20 mm. With distinct peaked umbo. Viscid when fresh and young, drying in age. Hygrophanous from dark dull brown to dingy olive-beige tan. Opaque.
Stipe 30-45 x 1.5-2 mm. Sinuous, beige-tan, darkening to black upwards, entirely covered with silvery whitish fibrils.
