Specimen notes
Public Note:
This stubble of winter wheat cv. Stephens was collected after one year of fallow, about 16 months after the crop was harvested. The fallow was no-till (chemical fallow) and was recently planted to another crop of winter wheat cv. Stephens. The existing crop of winter wheat was planted in late September 1996. The previous crop of winter wheat had symptoms of physiological leaf spot. Pseudothecia were present on standing straw as well as on prostrate straw in the combine wheel tracks.
