Specimen notes
Public Note:
Material poorly dried and degraded by bacteria, mites and mould. Sequence does not agree with others as E. vulsum. This seems to be in a group with the northern hemisphere E. araneosum, a hairy species. No cystsidia observed, but the tissue is poor. The pileipellis hyphae have brown plasmatic pigment, and have 'hispidoderma' like terminals, but they are clamped. There are copious oleiferous hyphae. So whilst there are some features corresponding to E. vuslum I think the presence of clamps must exclude it. Better preserved collections are required.
