Sequence data show this is not C. griseorufescens but a similar undescribed species. Lamellae ~ 30. PP an interwoven clamped cutis to 6um diam.. Basidia 50-70 x 7-10um with abundant basidiola. Spores length=6.5-8.0µm (µ=6.9, σ=0.52), width=5.1-6.6µm (µ=5.6, σ=0.50), Q=1.1-1.5µm (µ=1.25, σ=0.11), n=10. Microscopically there is little to differentiate this taxon, except maybe the abundant basidiola and slightly larger spores. Macroscopically it lacks the pink stipe base of griseorufescens.
