Specimen notes
Public Note:
Cap 52-71 mm across, tomentose, breaking up into tiny tufted scales, gills decurrent, wrinkled, with shallow cross walls. Stipe 29-33 mm long, 5-7 mm thick, basal mycelium pale yellow, no odor, taste mild. Flesh pale yellow in cap, yellowish beige in stipe. [JAC:22/06/2023] cap not sooty brown and not staining greenish blue so I don't think this version is the real P. nz.
