Public Note:
[WMD] This Entoloma has a pink cap. Stipe cream with pink hints towards the apex and positioned off-centre on both fruit bodies. Gills cream turning pink, appearing attached. Larger of the two caps about 2.3 cm in diameter and 3.5 cm in height. Growing on forest floor amongst moss in remnant podocarp forest (kaihikatea, totara, rimu) with broadleaf. The underside of this observation looks very similar to the undescribed Entoloma - pink loaded on kaimaibush.co.nz. I suspect this may be the same species even though Shirley describes her observation as having a 'felty' cap. This observation is likely growing in wetter conditions [JAC:22/07/2022] It has a look of E. austroroseum, but not microscopically. Also note that pink phenotypes of many species are common in Entoloma according to Noordeloos.
