Public Note:
Looks like clusters of effete perithecia with spore blobs at venter, but actually conical hyphal masses with sticky clumps of conidia. Hyphae mostly monilioid, but some in the mount are not. Conidia 9 septate, to 80um long. At the edge of the conical colony is a patch of perhaps a different sooty mold with slightly tough similar monilioid hyphae and dictyopsores (conidia?) with capnophialophora state. D,e. Maybe the the same. This sampled as 04D - but note this colony definitely also has non-monilioid elements in it. [JAC:10/09/2022]This has septate capnophialophora conidia (capnobotrys) and therefore cannot be M. fraserae.
