Specimen notes
Public Note:
The record of Sclerotinia spermophila in Dingley 1969 is almost certainly based on PDD 11401; the record under the Sclerotinia name presumably based on the Noble, Transactions of the British Mycological Society 30: 84-91, 1946, where Noble suggests that that B. anthophila may by the anamorph of S. spermophila. However, Noble does note that the ecology of the two species appears to differ and that some doubt remains that they really are the same fungus.
