Specimen notes
Public Note:
[PdL] Very common in kauri (Agathis australis) forest. Numerous fruiting bodies noted - all connected by a very strong, fine underground 'cable' radiating out from what I was intrigued to see looked like 'bulb-like' structures. Voucher: P.J. de Lange 14217, A.Marshall & D.J. Blanchon, PDD, UNITEC. [JAC:24/01/2023] Not the same as Au material as filicicola MEL 2393605 by Pat Gray "FRUIT-BODY: small, multibranched coral, yellowish turning green, dry flexible. Size groups 40-60 mm wide, 50 mm tall. Branching x3, branches upright, slender, cylindrical, yellowish becoming green, branch tips bluntly pointed yellowish becoming dark green; axils ‘U’-shaped. Stem length 10-15 mm, width 1-2 mm, white at base greening towards first branching. Rhizomorphs short, white arise from a white mycelial mat at the base of the stem, extending into substrate. Spore print yellow." This description does not agree with R. filcicola, so I will stick with the name for the moment.
